„Performing Hamlet“: Workshop mit dem Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus

Blockseminar 10 to 11 December 2011 (Winter term 11/12)

This Blockseminar will deal with the concept of ‘the performatve’ and its translation into theatrical reality. The theoretical foundations are going to be developed and presented by the students in teamwork on two days in order to prepare and to evaluate the workshop in the Schauspielhaus (25.11. and 20.01.). The theatre workshop on 10 and 11 December is going to be the core of the Blockseminar: Under the guidance of Katrin (Käthe) Lorenz, theatre teacher at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, elements of improvisational theatre will be learned and the visit to the performance of Shakespeare’s Hamlet will be prepared.
