Martin Daws x Heine Haus
This event is part of a two-and-a-half-day seminar held by Martin Daws in the Department of Modern English Literature at the HHU, exploring spoken-word poetry as a performative art. It is part of the department's artistic research practice explored through creative writing.
The seminar will use video, audio and written texts by artists including Cae Tempest, Terence Hayes, Audre Lord and Adrian Mitchell as stimulus for creative writing and performance. It aims to study the relationship between written words and human voice, developing the ability to speak in performance and exploring the musicality of language and the beauty of unique voices.
